Accused of Drunk Driving under Leandra's Law

Danielle R. Hubbard, 30, of East Orange, NY faces a DWI charge under Leandra’s Law, a felony under New York state law.

On December 13, 2015, at approximately 1:05 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for multiple traffic violations. They concluded the Hubbard, the driver, was intoxicated. She was traveling with an 8-year-old child.

Hubbard was transported and processed at SP Tarrytown where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.16%. She was charged with:

• Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child in the Vehicle; a Class E Felony

The child was turned over to a sober third party, as was Hubbard. She is due in Clarkstown town court Jan. 6.
