All Star Greetings From Portland

Little Leaguer talks about trip and Bardonia restaurant owner announces he will be showing the World Series games.

Hey New City!

We arrived in Portland yesterday and it was one loooonnngggg flight. We traveled for 10 hours in all, but we had so much fun on the planes. I felt bad for the people sitting near us because we were really loud.
When we got to the airport we had a nice surprise waiting for us... Limos!! We got to travel to the field in style. We got to the field and we got new uniforms, helmets, bats, batting gloves, and catchers equipment.
When we came to the hotel, we met all the teams but we all liked the girls from the Philippines because they were really friendly. How cool is that!!
We met girls from different countries and now we're fiends with them! By the time we got to our rooms we were all so tired we went right to bed. Our first day in Portland was a crazy and exciting one.

Fans of the team can watch the games on the big screens at the Lexington Grille & Pub on Route 304 in Bardonia. Owner Mike Solicito is the proud uncle of Carli "Coco" Solicito, who play second base for the team.

Solicito says he wanted to give people a place where they could gather and watch the game. Two big screen TVs will be streaming the game live and will be visible to everyone in the restaurant.
"It's a great experience she's having out there," said Solicito.
