Are you getting the most out of your business?

People always ask, “How can I double of triple my income?”

They hope for some magic formula. From my own experience and that of my clients and alliances, I can assure you, there is only one thing you can do: double or triple the amount of time you spend in front of your paying customers.

Let’s use this example: as a small business owner, you are leaving tens of thousands of dollars on a table because you spend too much time running your business (and managing your team) and too little in front of, and with your, potential, ideal and playing clients.

  • Now you know that you need to market your business, that you should produce quality content either for you blog and newsletter, or to publish it in various publications (that will give you additional visibility).
  • You know that you need to create a sales funnel and offer a range of price points for clients to buy your services and products.
  • You also know you need to network and meet people who either qualify as your customers, or can become a referral source. And once you make those connections, you know you need to maintain them.

The problem starts when its time to put all of the above in action and be consistent with it – if you are like so many of us, you simply don’t have the time to get around all of it AND manage your business AND work with your customers.

Delegate the right projects to the right people

The Virtual Assistant (VA) and Virtual Business Management (VBM) industry is rapidly growing to meet the growing demand, and hiring a VA or VBM sounds simple. But beware of two misconceptions out there:
  1. A misconception that delegating is easy, that all one needs to do is to google up “Virtual Assistant” (VA in short) and they’ll get all their needs taken care of for $10/hour or less. In fact, quite a few very well-known authors have written books about the topic and how a “VA for $5/hr will free up your time, all you need is to assign them their tasks.”
  2. Graphic designers, bookkeepers, writers, social media strategists are not necessary VAs, even though they deliver their services virtually, via the Internet.

So, what's the reality?
