Bothered by Door-to-Door Pitches? Call the CPD

The Clarkstown Police Department would like to remind the public that most door to door sales solicitations in the Town require a permit.

Over the past few weeks the department has received several calls regarding persons ringing door bells and soliciting sales or service requests.

We urge the public to ask to see the permit from any door to door solicitor, police said. Please do not conduct business with anyone or any company that does not have the proper permits -- and contact the Clarkstown Police at 845-639-5800.
