Clarkstown North And South Compete At Nanuet Relays

Nanuet High School hosted the annual Nanuet Relays on Saturday. Clarkstown South High School placed first in the Varsity Girls 4x100 Meter Relay in 51.4 seconds. South's track & field ream tied for fifth place with Notre Dame High School out of 19 schools competing in the varsity girls team events and North placed eighth. South placed fourth in the varsity boys team events and North's track & field team placed ninth out of a field of 20 schools.
Vin Modafferi representing Clarkstown South won the Alumni one mile run in 4:35:00. South's Alumni mixed team won the 4x100 meter relay in 48:00.
North placed second in the varsity girls discus throw and third in the varsity girls shot put. South placed third in the Freshman-Sophomore boys shot put and junior varsity boys pole vault. North came in third in the junior varsity boys 3000 distance medley relay and and also in third for the varsity girls triple jump.

South merited second place and North third place in the varsity boys pole vault. South placed second in the varsity boys 4x400 meter relay and third in the varsity girls pole vault. North ranked third in the junior varsity girls shot put and South earned second place in the varsity girls long jump.
More than 50 schools from New York and New Jersey competed in the track and field meet. The results are attached to this article as a PDF. Please note that not all names were posted on the results submitted to Patch.
