Clarkstown Police Accuse 2 of Fake Credit Card Use at Kohl's

One of the two men had his child with him, police said.

Clarkstown police were called to Kohl’s on Route 59 at 2:45 PM Oct. 20, for a report of possible fraud.

Loss prevention employees stated that a man had attempted to purchase three gift cards worth $95. The credit card being used was fraudulent, police said.

The suspect was followed to a vehicle waiting outside with 3 other occupants. The car left the scene but was stopped by patrol units a short distance away.

Kohl’s employees identified the man who attempted the fraudulent purchase. He is Allan Parker, 41, of New York, NY, police said. They also accused Parker and another man in the car as suspects in another fraudulent purchasing incident from Oct. 16.

The second suspect was identified as Eric Williams, 21, of Bronx, NY.

Police allege tht on Oct. 16 both Williams and Parker opened Kohl’s credit card accounts using stolen identification.

Parker made a purchase of assorted merchandise totaling $1,292 and Williams made a purchase of assorted merchandise totaling $450, police said.

Both were arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing. Parker was charged with criminal possession of stolen property 4th (felony), grand larceny 4th (felony), forgery 2nd (felony), identity theft 1st (felony), petit larceny (misdemeanor).

He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child (misdemeanor). Parker’s child was with him at the time of the arrest.

Eric Williams was charged with forgery 2nd (felony), identity theft 1st (felony), possession of a forged instrument 2nd (felony), and petit larceny (misdemeanor).

Williams and Parker were arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court. Bail was set at $50,000 for Allan Parker and bail was set at $10,000 for Eric Williams. Both suspects were transported to Rockland County Jail, due to return to court on Oct. 24.
