Clarkstown Police Seek Man Who Stole $180,000 Truck

The public is being asked to provide information on the suspect and the whereabouts of the truck and trailer.

West Nyack, NY — Clarkstown police are asking for the public’s help in finding out who stole a truck July 1 from 52 Snake Hill Rd. in West Nyack.

The police department posted information and a video on its Facebook page.

Numerous contractors store their vehicles at the parking lot at that location, police said.

The stolen vehicle is a black 2005 Peterbilt truck with New York registration 47344PC. It was pulling a black 2016 MAC dump trailer bearing New York registration 1463C1.

Police said the truck has “RJL Industries” on each door and “52” on the nose.

The truck is valued at about $80,000, with the trailer valued around $100,000.

Surveillance video shows a man entering the lot on foot at 12:22 a.m. He was seen on video driving the truck with the trailer in tow out of the lot at 12:29 a.m., exiting eastbound on Snake Hill Road.

Police said the man appears to be white or Hispanic with a light beard/mustache. He was wearing a black “Sox” baseball cap.

Police are asking anyone with any information about the incident or who recognizes the suspect to call the Clarkstown Detective Bureau at 845-639-5840.
