The Congers Tigers 9-and 10-year-olds International Softball Team won the League Championship on Sunday at Hemlock Field in Congers. They ended their perfect season with a 13-1 victory over the New City Cardinals. The Tigers finished the regular season with an undefeated 17-0 record. They are managed by Darryl (Scotty) Popkave and coached by Ken Kunz and Rob Baliatico. The players are: Sam Chemerov, Jessica Baliatico, Rebecca Stark, Angela Capasso, Brittney Fata, Lauren DiPrima, Briana Dana, CarlyAnn Chemerov, Erica Leonard, Marissa Corelli, Katie Kunz, Taylor Popkave, Taylor Firenze, and Allison Fray.
