Daily Sports Digest: Clarkstown Stars Advance To Regionals

The Clarkstown Stars 8u team won the New York Metro tournament in Brooklyn over the weekend. The Stars went undefeated through the tournament.

With the win, the Stars advance to regionals in Wolcott, CT. If the Stars win that tournament, they’ll advance to nationals in McDonough, GA.

New City Teams Out Of District 18 Tournament

Both New City Little League 10-11 all-star teams were eliminated from the District 18 tournament Monday night.

New City National lost to Ramapo, 22-0, in West Nyack, and lost 10-1 to South Orangetown.

It was the second loss in as many games for both teams, eliminating them from the tournament.

With the 2012 Summer Olympics in London starting July 27, Patch is looking for any local athletes participating in or that qualified for the games.
