It wasn’t the best day for New City athletics as the local schools came up on the losing side in all three area competitions. Clarstown North fell to Clarkstown South in field hockey, while Suffern beat the Rams in soccer. The Falcons didn’t fair any better against Tappan Zee as the Albertus Magnus soccer team also fell.

Score: Clarkstown North Lost 2-0
Highlights: Clarkstown South won at home thanks to goals by Grayson Koda and Amanda Heim. Clarkstown North’s goalkeeper, Nicole Cember had 24 saves, but it wasn’t enough.
Sport: Girl’s Soccer
Game: Suffern @ Clarkstown North
Score: Clarkstown North Lost 1-0
Highlights: Suffern came into Clarkstown North and beat the Rams thanks to an Alyssa Rainford goal. Ashley Lew had 17 saves in the loss.

Game: Albertus Magnus @ Tappan Zee
Score: Ablertus Magnus Lost 5-1
Highlights: The Falcon soccer team didn’t fair well as Tappan Zee won 5-1. The lone goal for Albertus Magnus was scored by Kerry Mulcahy.

In girls' swimming, Clarkstown North and South compete against Nyack away at 4:15 p.m.
In girls' volleyball, Clarkstown North plays at East Ramapo at 4 p.m.
In girls' soccer, Clarkstown North plays away at Clarkstown South beginning at 3:15 p.m.
In football, Clarkstown South plays RC Ketcham at home under the lights at 7 p.m.
In girls' tennis, Clarkstown South plays North Rockland in a home matchup at 4:30 p.m.
In girls' volleyball, Clarkstown South travels to Mahopac for a 4:30 p.m. game.
In boy’s soccer, Albertus Magnus will take on Tappan Zee on the road at 3:45.
In football, Albertus Magnus heads to Tappan Zee for a game under the lights. Kick off at 7:30.
In volleyball, Nyack welcomes Albertus Magnus for a 4 p.m. matchup in the school’s gymnasium.
