It wasn’t the best day for New City athletics as several of the local teams fell. In soccer both Albertus Magnus and Clarkstown North fell in close matches. The local field hockey team tied, and the Rams volleyball team won.

Sport: Boy’s Soccer
Game: Pearl River @ Albertus Magnus
Score: Albertus Magnus Lost 2-1
Highlights: Pirate goalkeeper Justin Cueva led the defense with 7 saves as Pearl River narrowly won. Offensively the Pirates were led by Alex Castillo and Jared Schlosser who each found the back of the net once. James Huber scored the lone goal for the falcons.
Sport: Girl's Volleyball
Game: North Rockland @ Clarkstown North
Score: Clarkstown North Won 3-1
Highlights: After dropping the first set the Rams went on to win the next three games to defeat North Rockland. In the victory Marie Guistino had 21 kills for Clarkstown North and Brittany DeGaetano added 22 assists.

Score: Clarkstown North Lost 1-0
Highlights: North Rockland outlasted the Rams as Clarkstown North lost 1-0. In defeat Chrstian Obernesser had 8 saves for the Rams.

Score: Teams Tied 3-3
Highlights: Nicole Cember had 7 saves for the Rams as Clarkstown North and North Rockland tied. Dynelle Clement had 2 goals and an assist for the Rams while Emilie Cooper added a goal.

In field hockey, Clarkstown North and South will face off in a Viking home game.
In girl’s soccer, Suffern will travel to Clarkstown North for a 4pm showdown.
In girl’s tennis, Albertus Magnus will head to Pearl River for a 4 o’clock matchup.
In girl’s soccer, Albertus Magnus will take on Tappan Zee High School at 4.
