White Plains picked up the big road win at Clarkstown North as the Tigers won 6-5.

Danielle Sputo struck out nine in the win while Tayler Falvey went 3-4 with two doubles and Melissa Iarocci hit a home run for White Plains.
Clarkstown North’s Erica Ronda was 3-4 with two doubles and a triple in the loss.

In baseball, Clarkstown North heads to Suffern at 3 p.m.
In boys lacrosse, Sleepy Hollow heads to Clarkstown North at 11 a.m.
In boys lacrosse, Clarkstown South will head to Horace Greeley at 5:15 p.m.
In girls lacrosse, White Plains heads to Clarkstown South at 6:45 p.m.

College Sports Notebook:
Pace Looking to Rebound At Adelphi
Coming off twin losses in Rindge, NH to Franklin Pierce University in Northeast-10 Conference action, the Pace University baseball team is looking to rebound on Wednesday when they travel to Adelphi University in a NE-10 Southwest Division game at 3:30 p.m.
The Ravens won the opener, 10-1, and completed a sweep in 11-2 fashion as the Setters fell to 16-13 all told and 7-6 in the NE-10 while Franklin Pierce elevated its overall mark to 21-10-1 and 6-2-1 in the conference.
Pace got its run in the opener in the fifth inning as Patrick Chaputian of Sea Cliff singled and Joe Lombardi of Briarcliff walked before both runners advanced on a bunt, and then Chaputian was driven home by Charlie Galasso of West Harrison.
Pace fell behind 2-0 in the second game, but tied in the fourth inning behind starter Eddie Byrne of Yonkers. The Archbishop Stepinac graduate pitched five innings, allowing four earned runs on eight hits while striking out four.
Mortarboard musings
- Dominican College junior Tony Blake of Windsor, CT, has been recognized as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Region Player of the Week as well as the ECAC Division II Hitter of the Week. Blake went 11-for-22 with a .727 slugging percentage over seven games, in which saw the Chargers went 6-1. He scored 10 runs, homered, and had four RBI, eight walks and three stolen bases. The Chargers (11-17) host Philadelphia University on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Provident Bank Park in Pomona, and then meet local rival St. Thomas Aquinas College on Thursday, also at 3 p.m.
- Kevin McQuade of Mamaroneck is batting a second-best .324 for the Purchase College baseball team, and his 15 RBI rank second only to Frank Fiumara of Port Chester, who has driven in 18 runs for the Panthers. Purchase hosts Baruch College today at 3:30 p.m., and on Saturday plays a home twin-bill against the College of Mount Saint Vincent at noon.
- Iona Prep alum Roger King is 2-5 on the men’s tennis team at Purchase College, which is visiting Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT, today at 3:30 p.m. The Panthers host NYU-Poly on Thursday at 5 p.m. Chris Matchneer of Larchmont has won his only match to date for the Panthers.
