The Vikings and Falcons soccer teams both fell in close games over the weekend and several of the area's top athletes competed in the section championships for cross country on Friday.

Yesterday’s Results:

Sport: Girl’s Soccer

Game: John Jay @ Clarkstown South

Score:  Clarkstown South Won 3-2

Highlights: Olivia Szecker-Cortes, Brianna McMahon and Brianna Jean Charles all had goals on Friday as the Vikings advanced to the title game.

Sport: Girl’s Soccer

Game: Arlington vs. Clarkstown South

Score: Arlington Won 2-0

Highlights: Arlington outlasted the Vikings as they picked up two goals in overtime to win it all on Sunday. Jill Murawski had six saves in the win.

Sport: Girl’s Soccer

Game: Albertus Magnus @ Briarcliff

Score:  Briarcliff Won 4-0

Highlights: The nomadic Falcons soccer season ended over the weekend as the 14^th seeded Cinderella team fell to Briarcliff. Tara Condon had 13 saves in the loss.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score: Clarkstown South 232 (7^th Place)

Highlights: Robert Arbuco led the way for the Vikings with a time of 17:06.17.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score: Clarkstown North 309 (10^th Place)

Highlights: Zach Rose led the Rams as the Senior finished with a time of 18:11.78.

Sport: Girl’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score: Clarkstown South 385 (16^th Place)

Highlights: Kara Santa-Seresa finished in 29^th for the Rams. Her time of 21:23.07 was tops for the school.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score: Clarkstown North 381 (15^th Place)

Highlights: Natalie Vilotigvic finished with a time of 22:26.38.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class C

Score: Albertus Magnus 449 (16^th Place)

Highlights: Sean McNiff was the lone Falcon to finish in the top 75 in Friday’s meet. 

Sport: Girl’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class C

Highlights: Sophomore Grace Ostolozaga led the Falcons with a time of 26:23.42.
