The Top Spot:

The Clarkstown South softball team took the long drive to Mamaroneck and beat the Tigers 10-3.

Brittany Montana pitched five innings and struck out five to pick up the win for the Vikings. Cassie Fishkin, Caitlin Grogan, Alana Kurtti and Allie Tobias each scored twice in the win.

Emily Taub was 3-4 with an RBI for Mamamroneck and Megan Gerspach scored twice in the loss.

 

Yesterday’s Results:

Sport: Baseball

Game: Clarkstown North vs. Suffern

Score: Suffern Won 9-7

Highlights: Dom Kulbaba picked up the victory going five innings and striking out five before handing the ball off to AJ Fishberg for the save. Jon Saviano and Billy Seymour each scored twice in the win.

 

Sport: Softball

Game: Albertus Magnus vs. North Rockland

Score: North Rockland Won 6-1

Highlights: North Rockland’s Madison Knipl picked up the victory as she only allowed one hit and struck out five. Knipl also went 1-3 and scored twice in the win while Alexa Chiorazzi had three RBI.

 

Friday the 13th:

Take a look at some of the most historic moments in New York sports history to happen on April 13th including the Mets first opening day, Lou Coneseca retiring and a David Ortiz jersey being dug up from the concrete at the new Yankee Stadium.
