It’s about storm and disaster recovery. The NY Rising Community Reconstruction Program was established to provide additional rebuilding and revitalization assistance to communities severely damaged by Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

It targets, specifically, resiliency and redevelopment planning.

Clarkstown was one of 45 communities selected in Round 2 to participate in a planning process to develop a comprehensive and innovative plan for resiliency. The Town has been allocated $3 million to implement projects that are identified in its plan.

The public is encouraged to attend the session:

When: 7-9PM Jan. 22

Where: Clarkstown Town Hall, Room 301, 10 Maple Ave., New City, NY

Who: Clarkstown residents and business owners

Hosted by: NYRCR Clarkstown Planning Committee, NY Rising Community Reconstruction Program
