Driver, 19, Ticketed After Head-On Crash On Route 304
Both drivers injured, taken to Nyack Hospital.
A 19-year-old driver from West Nyack who crossed into on-coming traffic on Route 304 was issued a ticket after a head-on crash in which he and a New Jersey woman were injured Tuesday morning, according to Clarkstown police.
John Tricario of West Nyack and Xiaoran Yang of Parsippany, NJ, were both taken to Nyack Hospital after the wreck, in which Yang was briefly trapped and had to be rescued by volunteers from the New City Fire Department.
Sgt. Harry Baumann said Tricario suffered cuts to his arm and a broken leg. He said Yang complained of head, neck and back pain. Both were taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment.

Baumann said Tricario was issued a summons for failing to keep right of the pavement markings. The wreck took place about 7:45 a.m. at Arlene Court.
In addition to Clarkstown police and New City firefighters, the crash victims were assisted by members of Rockland Paramedics and volunteers from the New City Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Corps and the Nanuet Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
