Early Voting Locations Set In Rockland

Registered voters may cast their ballot early at one of four early voting centers in the county.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Ready to vote? You will have to wait a little while longer in Rockland before you can cast your ballot, but the mechanisms that allow everyone to vote are at least in motion.

You may already apply for an absentee ballot in New York. You may use the possibility of illness from the coronavirus as an excuse to vote by mail in the Nov. 3 election.

On Monday, the online portal through which you may electronically request an absentee ballot became live. Read more about that here.

Early voting is another option, and that starts Saturday, Oct. 24 and continues through Sunday, Nov. 1.

Any Rockland County registered voter is eligible to cast an early voting ballot. Registered voters will be able to vote at any of the four designated early voting locations in the county.

Here are the days and times for early voting in Rockland:

  • Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • Monday, October 26, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from noon till 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 29, 2020 from noon till 8 p.m.
  • Friday, October 30, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Rockland County early voting centers are:

1. Clarkstown Town Hall, 10 Maple Avenue, New City, New York 10956
2. Haverstraw Town Hall, 1 Rosman Road, Garnerville, New York 10923
3. Orangetown Town Hall, 26 West Orangeburg Road, Orangeburg, New York 10962
4. Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901

In Rockland, registered voters may access any early voting center.

If you want to vote in person Nov. 3, the polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. County election officials expect most sites to be open and they will be stocked with masks, gloves, sanitizers, and wipes. Social distancing will be enforced. Voters take home a souvenir pen!

To protect voters, staff, and the residents of some of the usual poll sites, the Board of Elections made a few changes for Nov. 3.

  • If you normally vote at St. Paul's Parish Center in Congers, you will vote at the Congers Community Center, 8 Gilchrest Rd, Congers, NY 10920.
  • If you normally vote at Brightview, you will vote at The River Church, 253 Ehrhardt Rd, Pearl River, NY 10965.
  • If you normally vote at Esplanade Palisades, you will vote at St. Charles A.M.E. Zion Church, 432 Valentine Ave, Sparkill, NY 10976.
  • If you normally vote at Christ Lutheran Church, you will vote at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901.
  • If you normally vote at Fountain View, you will vote at the Spook Rock Senior Citizen Housing, 200 Dashew Drive, Suffern, NY 10901.

Rockland election officials are conducting additional inspector certification courses and will update poll site information as necessary.
