Bal Masque Gala Sponsored by Home Aides of Rockland

Home Aides of Rockland will hold a Bal Masqué Fund Raising Gala on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 7-11 pm at The View in Piermont.

The event will specifically raise much-needed funds to support the organization’s home care programs, which includes the Reduced Rate Home Care Program. This program makes vital home health care services accessible to those who are not Medicaid eligible yet lack the financial resources to afford care without some assistance.

Cecilia Halverson, Executive Director of Home Aides says, “Our Bal Masqué is a celebration that encourages the use of masks to have some fun and spend a few hours transcending daily life by imagining an amusing identity for the evening.” In fact, attendees will be encouraged to wear masks. If an attendee does not bring his/her own mask, Home Aides will sell masks, or masks may be ordered in advance.

The evening’s entertainment includes magicians, jugglers, a stilt walker, dance exhibitions as well as a silent auction and mystery raffle.

The theme for the event is inspiration – the inspiration that stimulates creativity, that makes ideas blossom and that gives one the strength to meet challenges. Advertisers and sponsors will be asked to share an inspiration. “Our focus is on persuading each attendee, sponsor and journal ad subscriber to honor an inspiration and to celebrate those deserving of recognition who are often ‘invisible’ behind the mask of everyday life,” says Halverson.
