International cabaret and theatre artist REBECCA JOY FLETCHER will make a rare appearance in Rockland County this January. The show, entitled Cities of Light, is a theatrical romp through the spirited and wondrous cabarets of the 1930s and 1940s that were brought to a halt by the horrors of WWII. The audience will experience the glamour that was, as Jewish artists on the move thrilled audiences with their Weimar era tangos, Paris Dada shimmies, tribal Yiddish licks, and the ocean-inspired lullabies of Tel Aviv – when Israel was a dream to be born and Tel Aviv was full of music. Rebecca Joy Fletcher, international cabaret theatre artist, transports her audience into this enchanting scene.
