
The Arts Council of Rockland Sponsors a "Most Artistic Cupcake" Competition
If you can use the medium of cupcakes as your canvas, here's an invitation for you:

In exchange for you bringing at least one dozen original, homemade "designer cupcakes" to the 2012 County Executive Arts Awards, the Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) will give you a free ticket (value $20.00) to the ceremony and reception that follows.
You and your cupcakes could win the coveted "Most Artistic Cupcake in Show" award that will be presented - for the first time ever - at the reception that follows the ceremony. Not only will you and your cupcakes receive well-deserved recognition, you will receive a one year free membership with the Arts Council.

To participate: Anyone can enter! Download an entry from from www.artscouncilofrockland.org or send an e-mail to info@artscouncilofrockland with the following information: your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address and cupcake name (ie: Aunt Martha's Sinfully Chocolate Carmel Cupcakes).
Entries must be received later than Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
Contestants - and their cupcakes - need to arrive at the Cultural Arts Theater at Rockland Community College (145 College Road, Suffern) no later than 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012. 11 of your cupcakes will be available at the reception for appreciative consumers.
The 12th cupcake will be displayed with all eligible cupcakes. Attendees will be invited to vote for their favorite cupcake. The cupcake - and its human baker/artist - which receives the most votes, will receive "Most Artistic Cupcake in Show." A photograph of the winning cupcake and baker/artist will be featured in the June/July issue of “Arts Happenings”.
