Loretta Hagen CD Release Party and Concert

We are all excited about holding the first CD release party ever, in the history of  The Borderline.  All this will take place on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.  The venue is the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps located at 200 - Congers Road,  New City, NY 10956.  The performer is none other than our dear friend, LORETTA HAGEN.

The Borderline is delighted to be the venue of choice for Loretta Hagen's CD release party. The album is entitled "Mud and Stone" and is Loretta's 3rd CD.
Loretta is a gifted songwriter with a sweet alto voice and a fantastic stage presence that lets her bond with her audience. She writes songs about real life events which although drawn from personal experience, are about situations in life that all of us can relate to and have experienced at one time or another. When Loretta Hagen performs, each audience member feels like she is speaking directly to them about something that is important in their lives. Besides playing excellent guitar herself, Loretta will be accompanied by her husband, Gary Hagen on rhythm guitar, and Linda Lambiase on harmony vocals and djembe. Opening the show is singer songwriter Christopher Brown from Westchester County, NY who is one of the brightest male stars on the folk music horizon. As an added attraction, the guest MC for the afternoon will be our good friend, Mara Levine who's recordings have made #1 on the folk charts twice in the past year. Admission is $20 per person ($15 for Borderline members), and we ask that you bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 other people. No alcohol is permitted. To make reservations e-mail solz1@optonline.net or call 845- 354-4586. The NEW official Borderline website is www.borderlinefolkmusicclub.org

Attached to this e-mail is the concert flyer in jpeg format plus an MP3 file of Loretta Hagen singing the song "When My Years Are Stacked", from her new album, for your listeing pleasure.
