Fog Halts Boulders Game

Jackals leading Rockland 7-3 in top of the 8th; Jersey scores two runs off fly ball lost in the mist.

In the second game of the their very first home stand, the Rockland Boulders have discovered a unique problem that comes with the new Provident Bank Park — fog.

The Boulders second home game, the opener of a series against the New Jersey Jackals, has been called because of thick fog at the stadium in Pomona. The Jackals were up, 7-3, in the top of the 8th inning when the game was halted and then called at about 11:25 p.m..

Play was suspended after a pop fly to the outfield by the Jackals was lost in the fog and could not be fielded by the Boulders.
