Gracepoint Is Host Site For Global Leadership Conference

They will pick up a live feed of the conference in Illinois

The Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship will once again act as a host site for the annual Global Leadership Summit.

The summit is organized and hosted by the Willow Creek Association in South Barrington, IL. Gracepoint is one of more than 200 host sites that pickup a live feed to the summit and show it elsewhere.

Gracepoint had representatives attend the summit for about eight years before becoming a host site last year, according to Pastor Floyd Nicholson.

“It’s great. It’s probably one of the greatest leadership summits I’ve ever attended,” Nicholson said. “It can really help people become better leaders, whether that means leaders of a business or leaders in a more spiritual sense. They’ve had Jimmy Carter and major businesses around the world come and make presentations.”

This year’s featured speakers are former Secretary of the State Condoleezza Rice, Harlem Children's Zone CEO Geoffrey Canada and many other authors, business people and spiritual leaders. The two-day event features 12 speakers.

The two-day event at Gracepoint is Aug. 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. For Gracepoint members, the price for a ticket to the two-day event is $105. For all others it’s $269. Tickets can be purchased on the Gracepoint website.

Nicholson said last year Gracepoint had about 150 people come to the New City church for the event, and they have about 130 signed up so far for this year’s event.

“I really would recommend the summit to anyone who is a leader in some capacity, especially if it’s a business leader or a leader in church life,” Nicholson said. “It’s also great if you’re a leader of a household, as well. It’s really just phenomenal what they’re able to present. It makes leaders one step better and provides leadership development of all kinds of leaders.”
