Indictment after Clarkstown Bar Brawl
A Spring Valley man injured police officers when he fought off an arrest attempt, according to the Rockland County DA.

Jason Cantave, 30, of Spring Valley, was indicted on Sept. 11 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for:
- Assault in the 2nd Degree (2 Counts),
- Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree,
- Resisting Arrest,
- Escape in the 3rd Degree
- Disorderly Conduct
Rockland District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said on June 21 at roughly 2:41 am, Cantave was among a crowd of people outside a local bar in Clarkstown.
He became unruly, Zugibe alleged.

Police attempted to place him under arrest but he managed to get free, causing injuries to the officers. He fled and was later apprehended at a local hotel, Zugibe said.
