Individual Artists Eligible for Grants of $2,500

Artists in all disciplines can apply for grants from Arts Council of Rockland

The Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR) will award two grants of $2,500 each to Rockland artists through the 2012 Individual Artist Grant Program.

Artists can use the funds to create new original work that directly involves the community in the creative process. The goal of the funding is to encourage the general public to participate in the arts.

According to ACOR, “Project proposals should reflect a commitment to community life and culture and highlight the role of the artist as a community resource. Projects must engage the community through active participation and/or production of the project.”
