JAWONIO TO DEDICATE THE JORDYN SEIDEN ART THERAPY ROOM
The new space will be part of new PROS building
NEW CITY, N.Y. (July 29,2026)— In celebration of what would have been Jordyn Seiden’s birthday today, July 29th, Jawonio announced the creation of their new The Jordyn Seiden Art Therapy Room in its new PROS building opening this fall in Valley Cottage.
The dedicated space will honor Jordyn’s creativity, compassion, and commitment to helping others while providing individuals living with mental health challenges a place for healing, self-expression, connection, and recovery through art.
Jordyn was known for her kindness, her ability to connect with others, and her desire to make people feel special. From an early age, she found joy through painting, drawing, and creativity, which became an important outlet throughout her life. She later pursued her passion for beauty and completed the Cosmetology Program through Rockland BOCES. Jordyn passed away in December 2021 at the age of 19 after living with mental health challenges. Her family has worked to ensure that her compassion and desire to help others continue through meaningful efforts that support individuals and families facing similar challenges.
“Working with Jawonio has allowed us to honor Jordyn in a way that is both meaningful and purposeful,” said Mike Seidenfrau, Jordyn’s father. “This collaboration isn’t just about remembering her—it’s about helping others who are struggling and supporting their families. It creates something tangible and lasting that exists beyond a cemetery. It’s a place where her memory continues to live, where people can find hope and healing, and where her legacy continues to make a difference every day.”

“Having learned about Jordyn’s creativity, kindness, and compassion, these values also reflect our values and our culture as well,” said Randi Rios-Castro, CEO of Jawonio. “We are honored to partner with Mike, Dina, Daryn and Tom to create a space where people can express themselves, find connection, and continue their recovery journey. The Jordyn Seiden Art Therapy Room will serve as a reminder that healing can happen in many ways and that every person deserves hope, support, and a place to belong. We are so grateful to Mike and the organizers of the To Infinity and Beyond event to raise funds for Jawonio.”
The dedication represents the continued commitment by Jawonio to expanding innovative behavioral health services and creating spaces that promote recovery, resilience, and belonging.
For Jordyn’s family, the room is a lasting reflection of the love and connection she shared with others. The words “I love you to infinity and beyond,” a phrase that became a symbol of unconditional love in the Seidenfrau family, now carry forward as a message of hope and healing for all those who enter this space.
