Legislator Hofstein Participates in Local Schools' Reading Programs

Legislator Lon Hofstein (District 5) was recently invited to participate in reading programs at East Ramapo Central School District’s Early Childhood Center and at Clarkstown’s Laurel Plains Elementary School, where he read to a 2nd grade class.

“Who knew that reading to school children would be one of the more rewarding experiences of my tenure?” said Legislator Hofstein. “The joy, excitement and anticipation of the children as you enter the classroom is humbling. It brings back memories of reading to my own children when they were young.”

Hofstein added, “The time spent with these children is enlightening and I am grateful to the school districts for being given the opportunity.”
