The New City Generals 8U Blue won the Elite Championship Tournament Baseball championship over the July 4th weekend in Allentown, Pa. The travel team went 5-0 in two days to capture the crown, defeating the Doylestown Tigers 7-3, Greenwich Shamrocks 14-2, Howell Heroes 2-1, York Revolution 7-6 and Southern Tier Thunder 3-2. During the Hackensack, NJ Memorial Day Tournament, they  outscored five other teams to win that event. The team's players are: Jack Addeo, Brady Timmerberg, Joey DiRocco, Jack Wishner, Dennis Riordan, Matthew Savedoff, Corey Savedoff, Johnny Maraia, Tommy Kreider, Logan Maher, Andrew Knapp, Nicolas Martinez and Maxwell Murray. The Generals' manager is Jose DiRocco and coaches are Robert "Bundo" Ramundo, Mike Martini and Steve Wishner.
