The Clarkstown Town Board congratulated the eight and under New City Generals travel baseball team for their New York State Championship win in July. The 13-member team was recognized at Tuesday night's board meeting and will receive certificates from the board. "We're league champions," said Manager Joe DiRocco. "They're very well disciplined. The parents are very involved." The team won three tournaments and was the league champion for the spring and summer. DiRocco said the played in the North Atlantic Regionals but had a tough loss. He said they have a goal for the coming year.
