The New City Little League 11-12 Softball All Stars are taking off on a flight across the country early Tuesday afternoon to participate in the 2011 Little League World Series in Portland, OR.
New City won the District 18 Title on July 1 against Nanuet. They then went on to win the Section 4 Title against Kensico a week later. They defeated Camden in the finals of the New York State Title Game on July 19.
At this point, the New City All Stars became the New York All Stars. After ultimately emerging from the East Region as champions, the New York All Stars became the East Region All Stars and booked their tickets to Portland. It has been a long journey for the 13 girls form Clarkstown and they have no intentions of stopping now.
