New City Little League's softball team bounced back Sunday to capture a 3-2 win over New Hyde Park, setting up a game tonight between New City and Camden in the state Little League Tournament in Orangeburg.
New City needs a win in tonight's game at 7 to stay alive and face Camden again on Tuesday in a bid for the state title.
On Sunday, Sarah Brauer was the winning pitcher for New City, giving up just 3 hits and striking out 6. She was on her game from the start also doing a great job fielding her position.
