NEW CITY, NY — New City resident Aimee Pollak hopes to become the first woman Town Justice in Clarkstown. She kicked off her campaign Tuesday at the Nanuet Restaurant.

Pollak has worked as a staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Rockland for the past five years, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Rockland County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association. Pollak’s campaign emphasizes her commitment to getting cases right. “I will treat all individuals with respect, and give all cases the attention they deserve. I believe the local courts should be places where residents can resolve disputes equitably and where defendants can have their rights adjudicated quickly and fairly.”

Pollak has dedicated considerable time to charitable endeavors including work with the Revlon Run/Walk for women’s cancer, where she raised more than $100,000 over a 13-year span until the event ended. She also served as a fundraiser for The Slater Jett Meyers Foundation, which raises awareness and funds for children with birth injuries, such as cerebral palsy.
