free and open to the public

Ramapo- Rockland Community College’s annual Veterans Day Service is on Wednesday, November 11 at 11:00 am. This year’s focus is on remembering the Gulf War and Bosnian War. All are welcome to visit the shadowbox art exhibit on the 2nd floor atrium of the Technology Center to view some of the powerful and poignant art created by veterans through the VA/Hudson Valley Art Therapy Project with Dr. Barbara Smith and Rosemarie Rogers.

A benefit screening of the documentary film Hudson Valley Honor Flight: Generation Bridge, will be presented in the Cultural Arts Theater on Thursday, December 3 at 6:30. The director, Joe Allen will host a Q & A session after the film. All proceeds benefit programs for veterans at RCC.
General Admission $15
Veterans, senior citizens and students with ID admission $10

Hudson Valley Honor Flights provide air transport and other support for local Rockland and Orange County WII veterans to visit the memorials in Washington DC. The documentary covers the relationship bridge built when the veterans discuss their experiences with local high school students. Learn more about Honor Flights at https://www.honorflight.org

Rockland Community College was again designated a Military Friendly Campus by independent research reported in GI Jobs Magazine, and has several tuition scholarships, a private lounge, and organized activities and services for student veterans.
