Over 100 Endorsements for Elijah Reichlin-Melnick in SD38 Race

Over 100 current and former elected officials, candidates, community leaders, labor unions, and local grassroots organizations have now endorsed Elijah Reichlin-Melnick for New York State Senate in District 38.

The over 100 endorsements represent a broad and diverse coalition of support from elected officials such as Congresswoman Nita Lowey and NYS Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, to labor unions representing teachers, carpenters, and nurses and advocacy groups fighting for reproductive freedoms, environmental protections, and LGBTQ rights.

“I am proud to have brought together such a broad coalition while running to be the next State Senator for the 38th District. These more than 100 endorsements span Rockland and Westchester Counties and represent the shared belief of our diverse community that we must make New York work for everyone, not just the wealthy and the well-connected,” said Reichlin-Melnick. “In Albany, I will fight for middle class families, strong public education, affordable healthcare for everyone, and equal rights for all.”

Reichlin-Melnick’s campaign for State Senate in District 38 has now been endorsed by twenty major labor unions from across New York, representing hundreds of thousands of New York’s workers. These organizations include the New York State United Teachers, New York State Nurses Association, the NYS AFL-CIO, and the CSEA.

Elected officials and candidates who have endorsed Reichlin-Melnick’s campaign include Congresswoman Nita Lowey, New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, Westchester County Executive George Latimer, State Senators James Skoufis and David Carlucci, Assemblymembers Ken Zebrowski, Sandy Galef, and Ellen Jaffee, and former 38th District State Senate candidates Eudson Tyson Francois and Julie Goldberg.

Reichlin-Melnick has most recently served as the legislative director for State Sen. James Skoufis, and is a Village Trustee in Nyack. He has previously worked as a constituent service specialist and district representative for U.S. Representatives Nita Lowey and Eliot Engel, as the executive assistant for former Orangetown Town Supervisor Andy Stewart, as a Hudson Valley regional planner, and as an elementary public school teacher. Reichlin-Melnick is running for the 38th State Senate District which includes the towns of Clarkstown, Orangetown, and Ramapo in Rockland County and the town of Ossining in Westchester County.
