Police Blotter: Stony Point Man Accused Of Rape

Rape Charged

Patrick Bazazian, 20, of 7 Flora Court, Stony Point, is charged with second-degree rape, according to Stony Point police.

Police said Bazazian was arrested Friday after an found that he engaged in sexual intercourse with a person less than 15 years old.

Bazazian was arraigned in Haverstraw Town Court and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility on $20,000 bail pending a hearing on Thursday.

DWI Charged In Accident

Alan Bernhardt, 44, of Little Ferry, NJ, is accused of driving while intoxicated after an accident Friday on Mountainview Avenue in Nyack, according to Clarkstown police.

Police said Bernhardt told them he was driving too fast in a blue Volkswagon at around 2:30 p.m. near Woods Road and lost control. The car struck a utility pole and knocked down a power transformer. The accident closed Mountainview Avenue to traffic in the immediate area and forced police to divert school buses from their normal routes.

Police said that Bernhardt had an odor of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet, leading to his arrest for DWI.

Theft Charged

Jennifer Srikishun, 25, of 4A Kennsington Circle, Garnerville, is accused of petty larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in connection with an incident June 2 at the ShopRite on Holt Drive in Stony Point, according to Stony Point police.

Srikishun is accused of taking assorted grocery items from the supermarket, police said. Srikishun was released pending a July 7 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

 Assault Charged

A 17-year-old is accused of third-degree assault in connection with an incident in which a 61-year-old man was punched in the face in the parking lot of a gas station, according to Stony Point police.

The young man was arrested following an investigation of the Friday incident at the Stony Point Mobil, police said. The victim suffered a cut on the face.

The teenager was released pending a July 7 hearing in Stony Point Town Court.

Seat Belt Ticket Leads To Arrest

David Fromowitz, 33, of 15 Stern St., Spring Valley, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to surrender his license, according to Stony Point Police.

Police said Fromowitz was stopped in Stony Point for not wearing his seat belt. Police said they discovered Fromowitz’s license had been suspended. He was issued several traffic tickets and released on $100 bail pending a July 7 Stony Point Town Court hearing.
