Police ID Victim In Dump Truck Crash

The young woman killed in the collision in New City was a Monroe, NY resident.

NEW CITY, NY — The young woman who died Saturday when the driver of a Jeep Wrangler crashed into a parked dump truck on Mark Lane in New City has been identified. Clarkstown police named Kaylyn Wynne, 21, from Monroe, NY as the passenger.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and there is no other new information at this time, police said.

Wynne was ejected from the Jeep. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Monroe, suffered minor injuries.

Officers who arrived at the scene at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday found a 2012 Jeep Wrangler half on the road and half on the front lawn of 14 Mark Lane. The whole car had extensive damage. Police said it appeared that the Wrangler had struck a dump truck parked in the street. Mark Lane was closed for eight hours during the investigation and clean-up.
