Police ID Victim In Fatal Route 303 Crash
Monday's collision was the second road fatality in Clarkstown in three days.

NEW CITY, NY — Clarkstown police have identified the victim of Monday's fatal crash. Two trucks and a car collided in Valley Cottage and one person died. The victim is Jose Lopez, 51, of Yonkers, NY.
It was the second fatal road accident in three days in Clarkstown. A 68-year-old New City resident was killed Friday on Route 304.
Monday's accident took place at about 3:45 p.m. on Route 303 and Storms Road. Lopez succumbed to severe injuries. Three other people were transported to Nyack Hospital's emergency room for non-life threatening injuries, police said. Route 303 was closed in both directions from Lake Road to Palisades Center Drive for hours during clean up and investigation involving the police drone for an aerial view and video.
Police said the investigation is still ongoing and there have been no summons issued or arrest made.
