Sean Patrick Maloney has won the Democratic nomination and State Assemblyman Michael Lawler has won the Republican nomination.

They both came out swinging.

In a statement, Lawler said, "I congratulate Congressman Maloney on his primary victory, but will work day and night to defeat him on Tuesday, November 8. My neighbors literally can’t afford another two years of him in Congress."
