Rams Extend Tennis Streak to 10-0
Clarkstown North wins 6 out of 7 matches against North Rockland
The Clarkstown North Rams extended their winning streak to 10-0 on Wednesday, winning all but one of their matches over North Rockland.
The number one, undefeated Rams were favored over North Rockland, whose record they brought to 4-5. The two teams competed under highly windy conditions, which added difficulty to controlling the ball. Despite this added challenge, the boys played matches of tough, competitive tennis.
In singles, Jonathan Paterkatsi swept North Rockland's captain Ryan Mulqueen. Grant Germano had a dominant 6-0, 6-1 performance over North Rockland's Sean Zerroulias. Clarkstown's North Bart Czarnik played a tough match against his opponent Patrick Diederich. Czarnik barely lost the first set in a 7-5 victory for Diederich, who won the second set 6-2. This was North Rockland's only victory for the day and a tough loss for Czarnik, who was coming off an excellent performance the previous day.
