Rockland Country Day School Teacher Publishes 'Siren Sisters'

Rockland Country Day School Dana Langer's book has been named 'Best Children's and Young Adult Books' by the Washington Post.

From Rockland Country Day School: The published work of Dana Langer, an upper school English teacher at Rockland Country Day School, has been highly praised in the publishing world. After receiving a Starred Review in the January 10 Issue of School Library Journal, SIREN SISTERS, (Aladdin, Ages 9-13) has been listed as one of the “Best Children’s and Young Adult Books” by The Washington Post. The Washington Post refers to Dana Langer’s work as a “spellbinding first novel” and states “The first-person narrative is grounded beautifully in the small joys of daily life...” SIREN SISTERS is a fantasy novel about a twelve- year-old girl in present-day Maine who dreads becoming a siren like her three older sisters until she witnesses their kidnapping and must use her powers to save them.
