Rockland Legislature: Incumbent Trails, Race Too Close To Call

Here are the unofficial results from the Rockland County Board of Elections.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Results of the county's 13 contested races for the legislature showed voters maintaining a preference for incumbents with one exception. Longtime lawmaker Nancy Low-Hogan trailed challenger John Foley by 66 votes as of 11:38 p.m. on Election Day.

Several candidates were running under the banner of a new party, the Serve America Movement. And the SAM votes may have made the difference in the District 17 race.

With 13 contested races and all 17 seats on the County Legislature on the ballot, the 2019 election decides who gets to draw Rockland's legislative districts.

Running unopposed, two Democrats and two Republicans started the power struggle off evenly.
