
Congresswoman Nita Lowey announced $246,317 in FY2015 emergency preparedness grants for the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department.
“This federal emergency preparedness investment will be used to purchase a new all-weather boat for law enforcement operations on the Hudson River, including patrolling near the New NY Bridge Project,” said Lowey. “We must do everything we can to reduce risks associated with terrorist attacks, and funding like this is a step in the right direction. As Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, I will continue fighting to ensure that New York receives its fair share of emergency preparedness funding.”
