Showtime! Opening Night at Clarkstown Summer Theatre Festival

Take a look behind the scenes as teenage actors, musicians prepared for Friday night's opening of "Celebrate CTSF!"

After weeks and weeks of rehearsals and getting the stage at Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack prepared, teenagers in the Clarkstown Summer Theatre Festival program kicked off their 2010 production - "Celebrate CTSF - a musical revue" - Friday night.

Before the curtain went up at 8 p.m., the teens went through one more round of rehearsals and stage preparations with show director Joe Egan to make certain everything was just right. The show is literally a celebration of the 38th season of Clarkstown Summer Theatre Festival, with scenes paying tribute to the many different shows put on by the program.

The summer program is organized by local parents who raise funds throughout the year to give teenagers a chance to participate in a summer show. Although the festival is at Clarkstown South, teens in the show come from throughout Rockland County and neighboring communities.
