In case of scattered power outages, O&R reminds residents to stay clear of downed electric wires.

NEW CITY, NY — With a powerful storm predicted to bring some snow and gusty winds as it passes to the east overnight, Clarkstown police said they will be stepping up enforcement of the town's winter parking rules.

There is no overnight parking on the street in Clarkstown in the winter — the rule goes into effect Nov. 15 every year and doesn't lift until April 1.

In case of scattered power outages, O&R reminds residents to stay clear of downed electric wires. Assume it is energized and dangerous, like the one Jan. 20 in Orangetown.
