Stony Point Couple Charged With Animal Abuse
Twenty-two dogs, in various degrees of health, and five animal carcasses were found by police.

STONY POINT, NY — Two Stony Point residents have been charged with animal abuse in the wake of a June raid that found five animal carcasses and 22 dogs in and outside their home. Louis Jerome Adler, 76, and Dorothy Adler, 74, were charged with 22 misdemeanor animal abuse counts and 22 misdemeanor counts of failure to provide wholesome food, water and air.

According to news reports, Hudson Valley Humane Society’s enforcement officers found feces and urine all over the floors of the small house.
