The one thing you ought to watch out for – especially because it sneaks up on you without you and your team even noticing until it’s too late – is complacency.
Complacency does not always equal “Good Enough is Good Enough”
While a vast majority of business owners and entrepreneurs find themselves run in circles and stalling the progress of their business when they seek perfection, being complacent will bring your business down.
On the other hand, good enough sometimes needs to be just that – good enough. Launching a new program or product, for example, sometimes needs to be done before you feel 100% ready. Only then will you be able to test what is there, improve what there should be and eliminate the unnecessary – without spending all your resources on something that was only perfect in your eyes but not in the eyes of your customers. What you can do about complacency in your business?
While we, as human beings, tend to overcomplicate simple things, this one actually is pretty simple: don’t be complacent.
