A "Town Hall" style meeting at Finkelstein Memorial Library is set to include  information to help homeowners prevent foreclosure. The 3 p.m. gathering on Saturday, March 12 is hosted by Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee, D-Suffern, and the <a href="http://rhachomes.org/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Rockland Housing Action Coalition</a>. The program is part of a meet-the-lawmaker outreach effort. Finkelstein Memorial Library is at 24 Chestnut St., at the corner of Route 59, in Spring Valley. The event is free and open to the public. The Rockland Housing Action Coalition will have counselors present to discuss actions homeowners can take to stave off foreclosure. Homeowners seeking the group's assistance will be able to sign up for help at the event.

The Nyack Famous Street Fair will be returning on Sunday, May 17 from 10 to 5 in downtown Nyack. This is the ultimate shopping and dining event you do not want to miss. The fair features over three hundred exhibitors, from four states with arts, crafts, new retail, home décor, and unique gifts set up in tents lining Main, Broadway and Cedar Streets. For the foodie’s festival foods of all kinds will be available including food trucks. Music will be located at the Gazebo on Main Street. Be sure to stop by the great restaurants and outdoor cafes with many offering fair specials. Nyack’s unique shops and boutiques are a must see. 
The fair is held rain or shine. No pets please. The Nyack Famous Street Fair has been held for over 50 years and has become a much-anticipated event that is looked forward to year after year.
