TZx Buses Maintain Schedule After Fire Limits Metro-North Service
The heat of the blaze bent the viaduct. Thousands of commuters were stranded.

Tappan Zee Express buses remain on a regular schedule during Metro-North schedule adjustments due to the Tuesday evening fire under the Park Avenue Viaduct in East Harlem.
TZx, Rockland County's commuter bus system, provides service between Suffern, Airmont, Spring Valley, Nanuet, Palisades Center, Central Nyack, Nyack, and South Nyack in Rockland; and Tarrytown and White Plains in Westchester County, which have train stations served by Metro-North Railroad.
Metro-North restored limited service to and from Grand Central Terminal, Wednesday morning, hours after a massive four-alarm fire underneath the viaduct at 118th Street required a service suspension and stranded thousands of commuters.
