WCFR Names Dr. Mukul Arya Inaugural Global Healthcare Leader of the Year

NANUET, NY — Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. (WCFR) proudly announces Dr. Mukul Arya as the Inaugural Global Healthcare Leader of the Year, recognizing his exceptional leadership, clinical excellence, and unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare and serving diverse communities.
This prestigious award honors individuals who demonstrate outstanding contributions to healthcare innovation, public health, and community resilience—values that are deeply aligned with WCFR’s mission to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training.
Dr. Arya is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist and Internal Medicine Specialist at Eastside Medical, PC, and serves as faculty at South Brooklyn Health, a New York City Health + Hospitals (HHC) facility. His career reflects a rare combination of advanced clinical expertise, academic leadership, and a deep commitment to service.

He previously served as Director of Advanced Endoscopy at White Plains Hospital, where he played a pivotal role in advancing specialized gastrointestinal care. Prior to that, he was the Director of Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he also served as Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Director, training and mentoring numerous fellows in his field.
In a continued commitment to giving back, Dr. Arya has returned to serve the underserved communities of Brooklyn, offering his expertise through his faculty role at South Brooklyn Health. His work reflects a dedication not only to excellence in medicine, but also to equity in healthcare access.
