Youth Mental Health First Aid
Training





Youth Mental Health First
Aid is a nationally recognized 8-hour certification course that introduces



participants to the
unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents,
builds an understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches how
to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health or substance use
challenge.





Who should take Youth
Mental Health First Aid training?



Adults who regularly
interact with adolescents


· Teachers, School Staff, Coaches, Mentors



· Juvenile Justice Professionals, Foster Care Professionals



· Staff of Youth Programs


· First-responders, Fire and Police Officers



· State Policymakers, Volunteers, and the General Public






The Youth
Mental Health First Aid Training will be held on Saturday, March 22 from
8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m and Tuesday,
March 25 from 8:30a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rockland Community College 145 College
Road, Suffern, NY 10901. You can either
attend March 22 or March 25.
